When it comes to your skin, who do you trust?

 

Last night, I met a woman – let’s call her Brenda.  Well, for a 61 year old woman, she looks amazing.  She’s fit and trim and keeps up on things like diet and exercise – and skin care.  Brenda has spent a lot of money on her skin.  She has had Botox; she’s had fillers; she has used hyaluronic acid (which took the skin off above her eyelid due to over-use.  She’s had some things go wrong and not produce the results she wanted.  She uses a little skin cleaning device called a “Clarisonic” machine which she said she loves.  Her esthetician recommended it.

Molly the Miracle

 

Let’s say you’re engaged to someone with the last name of Askew and you hear a story about a little town called Askewville – it doesn’t sound real, does it?  But it gets even better.  Recently, in the little town of Askewville, North Carolina, a tornado hit and did quite a bit of damage.  But there was one story that just needs to be written; the story of Molly the donkey.

“A Child & a Dollar” video by Jim Rohn

I am sad to say that I wasn’t introduced to Jim Rohn until after he’d left this earth.  He was an incredible man, speaker, writer, philosopher.  Now, as I drive the miles I drive, I have his voice in my ear for many of those miles.  His wisdom and heart have changed my life and I think of his quotations often.  Just today, I was writing about “giving boxes.”  Where a child can learn the value of a dollar by making sure they put one into their giving box for someone less fortunate  – and his voice came to me.

Spa & Shave!

You’ve undoubtedly heard of a shave and a haircut . . . 2 bits! But what about a SPA and a Shave??  My husband was into his Sunday routine this morning and said, it’s time for a spa and a shave.  Now, if you haven’t had a galvanic treatment (or sadly, don’t own your very own little device – I call it my magic wand) then you won’t know how incredible your face can feel after your shave & spa!
